The story behind GIForial.com

Thanks for finding us here at GIForial.com, the home of animated technical tutorials and walkthroughs. Every good company has a good founding story. We thought we’d take the time to explain how we came up with this idea, and how our founding team was formed.

Animated Technical Tutorials – The Idea

First, we want to take the time to thank Scott Barlow over at Scottsbarlow.com for writing a blog post titled 100 Business Ideas for 2014. It was this initial idea that sparked the purchase of a domain by combining the letters of the loved animated graphics interchange format, GIF, and the word Tutorial – hence GIForial.com was born.

As with most brand identity, one of the founders picked up the GIForial Facebook page, Twitter, and Tumblr after purchasing the domain and throwing together a quick site. Luckily enough, someone else was perusing the same 100 business ideas and came across the GIForial Facebook page. Founder #2 took the initiative and reached out to Founder#1. There was a little back and forth via the messaging system, exchanging of skills and resumes, as well as a few Skype and phone calls over the next couple of weeks. They discussed future plans with the idea, and how to best execute the goal of making awesome animated tutorials for businesses and products. The two personalities and skills seemed to mesh together well, and they decided to launch the venture together.

We’ve only just begun the journey, and are excited for the future.
